Do you know how our waste treatment system work?

Our wastewater treatment system is strategically located more than 1.5 km from the San Román River or any other natural watercourse. We are leaders in innovation, having a treatment system designed with German technology and processing 120,000 cubic meters of water, complying with the highest international standards. With a rigorous monitoring program and continuous analysis by independent and accredited laboratories, we achieve a reduction of more than 95% in chemical and biological oxygen demand, ensuring our planet protection. 

We are reducing our carbon footprint by capturing methane with two biodigesters of 16,000 cubic meters each, reducing our greenhouse gases impact. With the installation of four bio generators, we use the captured methane to generate up to 4 or 5 megawatts of renewable energy, diversifying the country’s energy sources.

In our plantation, we follow the best agricultural practices and use agrochemicals quantities that do not pose a risk to human health or the environment. Chemical products used in our operations are approved and regulated by the competent authorities. 

As a company, we deeply value our relationship with local communities. We hold regular talks with community leaders to address any concerns and to ensure that our operations benefit our areas of influence. We have implemented community development programs that include improvements in infrastructure, education, and health.
